SoundJar · Effective March 23, 2026
SoundJar is designed with your privacy in mind. The app operates entirely on your device and does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data.
SoundJar does not collect any personal information. Specifically:
Sounds you record with SoundJar are saved locally on your device in the app's private storage. These recordings are never uploaded, shared, or accessible to anyone other than you. Deleting the app removes all recordings.
SoundJar requests microphone access solely to let you record ambient sounds. The microphone is only active while you are actively recording. No audio is captured in the background or transmitted off-device.
SoundJar does not integrate with any third-party services, APIs, or SDKs that collect user data.
All app data — recordings, soundscapes, and preferences — is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. No cloud sync or external storage is used.
SoundJar does not knowingly collect any information from children. The app is rated 4+ and contains no objectionable content.
If this policy is updated, the revised version will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Since SoundJar collects no data, meaningful changes are unlikely.
